About the Author

Paul A. Dewald, MD, is a psychoanalyst, clinical psychiatrist, and member of the faculty of the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute, where he teaches about ethics in the clinical settting. He lives in St. Louis, Missouri. Rita W. Clark, MD, is a psychoanalyst and psychiatrist who has served on the subcommittee on ethics revision of the American Psychoanalytic Association for several years.
